Wow.

I mean, wow.

It's been quite a few months since I've updated my journal here....

So, here's an update:

I'm thinking of starting a web comic during winter break, and I've come up with well over several ideas over the course of, say, 3 years. So, here are the first 5 web comic ideas out of the ....20+ crazy ideas that frequently come out of my over-imaginative, crazy little mind. Knowing me though, I'll probably never finish making any of these projects anyway, let alone start on them. But out of curiosity... which one sounds the most interesting to you? Or rather, do any of these actually sound interesting to you? Are they original? Would you actually read them? I would love to hear your responses on the following story ideas. :)

Also, since I'm not a premium user, I can't make a poll for this. So could you please pick one of the following ideas below, and explain why that particular idea catches your interests?

Be honest, please! I would love to know your opinions on them! :)

Also, I'll probably be posting 5 more web comic ideas sometime next week, so I would like to hear your opinions on those as well!!! :)

Here are the first five web comic ideas:

1. A a fantasy series about a 14 year old boy who has the power to astrally project himself into other people's creative minds and dreams. Each "mind" contains an entirely different, sort of parallel universe that correlates to the individual's personal problems, interests, hobbies, talents and flaws. Also, each mind that the boy inhabits is drawn in a different art style. Think of something similar to Psychonauts or Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland in terms of plot concept, but much more ****ed up. MUCH, MUCH more ****ed up.

2. A gritty story about teenage gangs, crime and drug dealers in a parallel world where World War 3 and a major economic crisis has occurred in the very near future. Will involve lots of symbolism, pop culture references and parkour. Think Gorillaz in terms of character design, and Tekkonkinkreet for background design, symbolism and themes.

3. A brutal realistic, modern drama about several African child soldiers fighting for survival and freedom from enslavement. If I ever actually start on this, and if it ever makes any money, I would love to donate some of the money to charities that specifically target such issues in Africa. Think... err... crap, can't think of anything to compare it to, lol.

4. A comedic story about a young, silly alien who's taken under custody by the U.S. government after performing illegal acts known as "crop-turfing" (AKA, crop circles,) and illegal meat trading (AKA - cow mutilation.) Once he's under custody, he's forced to do 300 hours of community service - all of which must involve tracking down and catching other illegal aliens. Will involve some social commentary and satire. Think of Invader Zim and Men In Back having sex to produce some crazy, psychotic child.

5. A science fiction mockumentary about a group of 5 different teenagers - all aliens from different planets (except for two, who are a robot and human,) - who get together to form a movie that exposes the unseen conflicts and issues that happen in their worlds. It will involve loads of social commentary and real-world allusions. Think District 9, but with teenagers willing to help.

Hi, Alex.
I need to say that I like your tricks with the avatar, hehe. Have you created that character by yourself, if so, is it something more than mysterious face?
:iconfuss-budget:
Yup! I created the avatar with a free pixel art program known as Pixen. :)

It's a based off a character that I created a long time ago, so yes, there's something more to it.
:icon3dasha:
Pixen.. Too bad that it's available only for Mac.
Do you know any good program for pixel art for IBM?
:iconfuss-budget:
Hmmm.... I'm afraid not... Sorry. :(

I could try looking for one, though! :)
